As part of The SMART Fintry Project, Fintry Development Trust are exploring the potential for Ground Source District Heating in some areas in the local community. The purpose of this is to:
- Provide low carbon heating to the village
- To address high energy bills
- To allow us to use surplus local electricity thereby mitigating export to the national grid and ensuring lower electricity costs for the village
- To develop a blueprint model replicable by other rural communities in the UK
It’s expected that phase 1 of the Ground Source District Heating programme will take place in Dunmore Gardens. This part of the project has been delayed for the moment but is expected to go ahead later in 2017 or 2018. In the mean time, if you’ve got any questions about the heat pumps you can contact Matthew Black on 0788 928 3577 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
